Password Change
To update your password, click on your profile in the top-right corner after logging in and select "Change Password."
Creating a New Single-Tenant Site
To set up a new site on the Akuvox Cloud Portal:
- Log in to the portal at https://aucloud.akuvox.com/ .
- Navigate to the dashboard → Click “+ Add Single Family Site” to create a new site.
- Enter the site name and other required details, then click Save.
Adding Devices to the Site
- Navigate to the site by going to Sites → Single Family House → Blue computer screen icon

- Click “New” in the top right corner next to the AutoP button.
- Enter the device’s MAC address (found on the device label or packaging).
- Click Save to link the device to the site.
Creating a Community Project in the Akuvox Cloud Portal
A Community Project is used for multi-tenant environments like apartments or gated communities where multiple users need access to shared intercom devices.
To create a new Community Project:
- Log in to the portal at https://aucloud.akuvox.com/ .
- In the dashbaord click “+ Add Community Site” to create a new project.
- Enter the project name and any required details, then click Save.
Adding Devices to the Community Project
- Go to Devices → Click “+ Add”.
- Enter the device’s MAC address (found on the device label or packaging).
- Assign the device to the correct building or unit within the project.
- Click Save to link the device to the community.
Setting Up Resident Access
- Navigate to Users → Click “+ Add”.
- Enter the resident’s name, mobile number, or email to grant mobile app access.
- Assign the resident to their unit within the community.
- Click Save, and the resident will receive an invite to access the intercom system via the Akuvox SmartPlus app, residents in a community project will incur a $65 one-off cloud licence fee (ex. GST) if they require mobile app access.
Once set up, residents can manage visitor access, receive calls from the door station, and control entry through the app.
Avoiding Additional Fees for Mobile App Access
If the site includes an Akuvox indoor monitor, make sure to select the "With Indoor Monitor" option during setup.
🚨 Important: If this option is not selected, and the site requires mobile app access later, a $65 one-off cloud licence fee (ex. GST) will be charged.
Accessing Your Site
To view the site we set up for your system, switch to the Single-Tenant Manager role:
- Click on the Role dropdown in the top-right corner.
- Select Single-Tenant Manager from the list.
Connecting the Devices
Akuvox offers both 2-wire and IP models, and their connectivity options vary:
- 2-Wire Monitors: All models come with built-in WiFi and require a 48V power supply .
- IP Monitors:
- Standard IP monitors do not have WiFi, but we offer some models with WiFi as an option.
- IP models support Power over Ethernet (PoE) , so they do not require a separate power supply.
- Door Stations:
- Some IP door stations have built-in WiFi.
- 2-wire door stations do not support WiFi .
- 2-wire door stations can be powered using an NS-2 2 wire network switch or from the monitor using an unused PLC port pair.
- WiFi-enabled models typically have a "W" in the model name.
For wired connections:
- 2-wire devices require a 48V power supply (even when using a network cable).
- IP models support PoE and do not need an additional power supply.
🚨 Note: The network port on 2-wire devices does not support PoE, so if using a cable, you must also connect the 48V power supply.
Device Status Check
Once powered on and connected, you can check the device status in the portal:
- Navigate to Users → [Zoom out to 80-90% if needed].
- In the Status column, look for a circle indicator :
- 🟢 Green = Online
- ⚫ Grey = Offline
To rename a device, click the blue pencil icon next to it.
Setting Up the Mobile App
- Add the user's mobile number or email to the "App" user in the portal. (You can rename this user if preferred.)
- The user should download "Akuvox SmartPlus" from the App Store.
- Upon opening the app, select End-User as the account type.
- They can log in via:
- SMS: Tap "Login via SMS," enter their mobile number, and request a 6-digit code.
- Email: Check their inbox for the login credentials.
🚨 Important:
- Users won’t need to log in again unless they manually log out.
- To add family members , the primary user can go to Me → Family Members in the app.
- If there are login issues:
- Ensure the region (bottom right) is set to Oceania .
- If they see "mobile number does not exist," ensure they enter it exactly as it appears in the portal.
